BET Founder Bob Johnson Wants Michael Jordan to Join Charlotte North Carolinas New NBA Team5-8-03. Bob Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television, has asked basketball legend, Michael Jordan to join his Charlotte expansion franchise. The two friends met at a Chicago Bulls game twelve years ago. According to Johnson, who purchased the yet-to-be-named team for $300 million, absolutely I want him to be involved. He can play any role he wants to play, frankly. Jordan is being shopped around by his representatives to other franchises, including the Chicago Bulls, whom he played for 13 years and the Atlanta Hawks, who are for sale. |

AWARD-WINNING ROMANCE AUTHOR, MONIQUE GILMORE'S NEW BOOK - "JUST 4 GIRLFRIENDS: A GUIDE TO PRO FOOTBALL"
Virus to infect millions of women this NFL season

Charlotte, NC - Award-winning romance novelist, Monique Gilmore (BET Books) delivers a hilarious, informative guide for girlfriends who "don't get" professional football or who need to "brush up" on their knowledge in her new eBook, JUST 4 GIRLFRIENDS: A SIMPLE GUIDE TO PRO FOOTBALL available at www.writingminds.com
The 38-page eBook is only available through www.writingminds.com. It includes recipes, and is delivered online in a PDF format for readers instantly. Readers can then chose to read the eBook on their computer or print a hard copy.
By providing instant access via digital download, Writing Minds is able to offer this clever guide for $5.97 as opposed to a traditional bound book which would retail for close to $15. Purchasers of Just 4 Girlfriends: A Simple Guide to Pro Football, will receive football assignments and recipes-for-the-football-soul weekly via email.
The book uses creative analogies, termed TFM(Think for a Minute) to help "girlfriends" understand confusing football jargon. For instance, the football term Lateral Pass is described this way by Gilmore: When a player has the ball then throws it to the side or toward the back to his teammate. TFM: When you decide to either stay in a bad relationship or go back to one.
Gilmore is the author of: No Ordinary Love (Arabesque/BET Books) Hearts Afire (Arabesque/BET Books) The Grass Ain't Greener (Arabesque/BET Books) Soul Deep (Arabesque/BET Books) Mama Dear (Arabesque/BET Books) and Ties that Bind Way Down Deep (Writing Minds). When Gilmore isn't watching football and giving her NFL picks of the week as MoniLoveBug via radio, she is concept creating and writing. Currently, Gilmore serves as creative consultant/writer for Single Minutes (www.singleminutes.com), It's Your Party TV (www.itsyourparty.tv) and The Purple Peach (www.thepurplepeach.com). Gilmore has been a seminar speaker for the African- American Women on Tour and for KMEL Radio station's Universal Woman's Expo. Gilmore is a graduate of Rutgers University. She resides in North Carolina with her husband and their four children.
