(3-29-06). Gossip rags are rumoring that Bobby Brown's sister, Tina Brown, fears that Whitney Houston will take her life by overdosing on crack cocaine. According to T. Brown, Houston has failed to beat her addiction even though she was ordered to rehab by the courts. Rumors speculate that Houston is living in seedy, squalor-like conditions, away from her family weeks at a time.
In more believable news, reports state that R&B singer Mary J. Blige strongly urges Houston to admit her addiction because that is the first step in recovery.

Washington, DC (BlackNews.com 6/18/07) - You've heard numerous rumors about Bobby Brown lately: He's homeless, he's about to become a father again, and he's now suing his superstar ex-wife Whitney Houston for spousal support and joint custody of the couple's teenage daughter. Amid all the speculation, Bobby has found love in the arms of a beautiful young woman, entertainment industry exec Alicia Etheredge, reports say. What's worse, according to the rumor mill, is that Alicia is a former good-girlfriend of Whitney's! Is Bobby planning a wedding with his newfound "Tenderoni"? In an S2S exclusive, Bobby Brown discusses, for the first time, what finally ended his marriage to Whitney. He also shares a glimpse into his post-marriage relationship with Whitney. Is he writing a tell-all book about Whitney? What is he doing with his life and career now that his world is without Whitney? Also, for the first time, Alicia Etheredge speaks out on all the rumors in an exclusive interview. Is she the backstabbing ex-buddy of Whitney's who's now sleeping with Bobby? Alicia answers all the burning questions in the July issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine!
* "Someone is trying to make me look foolish," Bobby tells S2S publisher Jamie Foster Brown. "And they're trying to say I'm doing a book on Whitney and just different things, you know?"
* "I'm just looking forward to getting it straight because right now, she [Whitney] has full custody. But I'm fighting that."
* "That's bulls#!t. C'mon now," Bobby snaps when asked about the report that he was thrown out of a bar after being unable to pay a $12 tab.
* "It's been a long time coming," Alicia Etheredge said of Whitney and Bobby's divorce. "And Bobby is a romantic, you know? I just know that he tried until he didn't have a choice, because even when I saw him at the hardest time, he was still hoping and believing that they were somehow gonna reconnect and get it together."
* "The whole fact of putting me out there as [Whitney's] friend who is now dating her ex-husband is just scandalous!" Alicia said. "Nobody knows my honor and how I stand and my morals, and I think that's quite unfair."
* "They gave us six minutes and we went 12 years," admitted Whitney Houston during a 2004 interview with Jamie Foster Brown, adding, "We had our own bets. We won a lot of money. I was supposed to do what Diana [Ross] did. Do what Diahann Carroll did. [Both Ross and Carroll married outside their race.] I was supposed to go that route, but I didn't." After marrying in 1992, Whitney and Bobby's divorce became final in April.
The July issue of Sister 2 Sister also features up close and personal interviews with soul singer Musiq, Coko of the popular '90s girl group SWV, and singer Lloyd. Also, hear from the mothers of some of music's most successful stars, including mothers of Dr. Dre, The Game and Brandy and Ray J...
* "My first love was kind of one-sided," Musiq says. "I was in love with her, but she really wasn't there with me."
* "I don't think Taj knew about this because I sure didn't know, either," Coko says of her former SWV group member's admission that she was once nearly homeless. "If Lelee would have called me, I would have been down for her."
* "I was like, he's crazy. What is he talking about? We have unity," Coko said of a music industry exec who predicted the breakup of SWV. "But he saw something, I guess, that we obviously couldn't see at the time."
* "She tells me that that's my downfall," New Orleans-born singer Lloyd says of his mother and his desire to help others, even if it hurts. "I would end up giving all of myself just to help the ones around me."
* "As long as you're living in my house, you're going to work or go to school or do both. No lazy bums up in here. And I was even telling him, 'What, do you think a job is just going to come and walk up to you and say hello? You've got to go look for one.' And I'll be doggone if it didn't, though. And that was Alonzo [Williams of the World Class Wreckin' Cru]," said Verna, Dr. Dre's mom, of how her legendary son got his start in the entertainment industry.
Sister 2 Sister's July issue provides a glimpse into the worlds of R. Kelly, American Idol's Kimberly Locke, Chris Brown and soul legend Teddy Pendergrass...and much more!
On December 4, 2002, pop diva Whitney Houston, 39, will admit on ABC's Dianne Sawyer that she has dabbled dangerously in drugs and come close to overdosing deaths. Houston also states that she is addicted to "making love" and will stick out her rocky marriage with former New Edition member and solo R&B artist, Bobby Brown because "love is where you find it. And I found it in him. And he found it in me."
Houston, who was brought up in the church and was a devout Christian says prayer will get her through this because she is on the right path and Jesus loves her.
Houston insists that "I'm not a person who wants to die. I'm a person who has life and wants to live . . . I don't like to think of myself addicted. I like to think . . . I had a bad habit . . . which can be broken." Her new album, Just Whitney, is scheduled for release on December 10.
In the Dianne Sawyer interview, Whitney Houston admits to days-long binges where "I partied my tail off. You get to the point where . . .the party's over." She alludes to having abused alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, and pills at times.
In the past, rumors flared about Whitney's alleged drug addiction after missing and bungling shows like the Michael Jackson Madison Square Garden event where she appeared "skeletal" and high on drug. Despite weight loss rumors because of anorexia or bulimia, Houston insists "I am not sick. Let' s get that straight. I've always been a thin girl. I am not going to be fat, ever."
Bobby Brown, 33, who also appears in the Dianne Sawyer interview, admits to marijuana use for his bipolar disorder.
