LONGMONT, Colo., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Allegro Multimedia Inc., dba Music Wizard Group(TM), a leading provider of music gaming software and musical education tools, has recently unveiled the prototype of Guitar Wizard. Forming a strategic partnership with US Music Corporation's SoundTech Professional Audio Division, the two visionary companies have combined to develop a gaming package that can teach aspiring rock stars how to play real music on a real guitar. The product will include both the SoundTech Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar Interface and the patented Guitar Wizard software, allowing people to play and learn on their PC or Mac with their existing acoustic or electric guitars. The SoundTech Ediface(TM) technology converts the guitar sounds to digital for live interactive video game play. Virtually any guitar can be used with the SoundTech Ediface and virtually any song will be able to be used with the Pro software package, unlocking a universe of fun.
The Guitar Wizard platform has already seen success for the product's teaching method with a strong holiday for Mattel's product, "I Can Play Guitar," which uses the Guitar Wizard platform. Guitar Wizard, unlike other popular guitar video games, is a video game that uses a real guitar with real music files, so kids and adults of all ages can play the music they love, and even read music. Guitar Wizard is excellent for learning lead guitar, and teaches everything from single note picking to complex chords while gaming. The game's unique, patented, 5-step method combined with the SoundTech Ediface(TM) allows anyone to learn how to play a real guitar and read music in minutes, through a fun video game!
"Music has always been universal, but understanding how to read and interpret musical notation has been unnecessarily difficult. The guitar is another challenge to figure out as well, so learning how to play a guitar, especially lead guitar, has always been incredibly challenging.
Now, for the first time, with the combination of SoundTech Ediface(TM) technology and the Guitar Wizard game system, we can help millions of people easily fulfill their musical dreams, with real instruments, and real music," said Chris Salter the CEO of Music Wizard Group.
Last week, SoundTech Professional Audio, announced the Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar Interface. This interface is a new product that enables guitars to communicate directly with computers. From gaming to composing, the SoundTech Ediface(TM) opens up a new digital world to guitarists and is a key part to the Guitar Wizard game.
The SoundTech Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar Interface comes with a pick-up and converter that attaches directly to a steel string electric, acoustic electric or acoustic guitar of any size or shape. The Ediface(TM) is fully plug and play compatible with Windows XP or higher as well as Mac OSX -- no driver install is necessary.
"We developed the Ediface(TM) to give guitarists and aspiring guitarists an easy and fun way to interact with their computers through guitar play," said Larry English, president of US Music Consumer Division. "From composing to gaming, the possibilities with the SoundTech Ediface(TM) are virtually limitless."
The Guitar Wizard package will include the SoundTech Ediface(TM) and the Guitar Wizard software and will be available for both PC and Mac. The SoundTech Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar Interface and Guitar Wizard Software will be available nationwide in early 2008.
