The Backyardigans is a children's program that comes on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. programming. Created by Janice Burgess in 2004, the animation premiered on CBS for 20 episodes. The characters are illustrated by Dan Yaccarino. The musical adventures cater to two-year olds to five-year olds and features different musical genres and cultures. The setting of the Backyardigans is a large,common backyard that changes according to the characters' imaginations.
