ANNOUNCING THE 23RD ANNUAL LONG ISLAND GREEK FEST AND INTRODUCING THE 1ST EVER AFRICAN AMERICAN FRATERNAL PARADE

Co-Sponsored by the NPHC Long Island Nassau and Suffolk County Chapter

Jersey City, NJ (BlackNews.com 5/25/07) - GreekFest 2007, the largest and only Black Greek Festival, Parade and Picnic in the north east, will take place on Saturday, June 30, 2007 - the last Saturday in June.

The National Greek Network Inc., 721 PRODUCTIONS and Brock Starr Entertainment, the organizers of the annual festival / party for college students in the tri-state area, have come together to make 2007 the best event ever. This year, they expect over 25,000 visitors.

In previous years, people traveled from various distances to attend the festival - North and South Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, D.C., Connecticut, Massachussetts, and even farther.

Neos, pros, alumni, friends, cousins and others are invited to attend the festivities which will be held on Nassau Road in Roosevelt, Long Island, New York. There will be special discounts for traveling and hotel stays available.

There is also an open invitation to some of the artists that became superstars after being introduced on the Greekfest stage in the last 17 years. These include alumni such as Naughty by Nature, Biz Markie, Lauren Hill, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, P. Diddy and the Bad Boy Family, Ashanti, Funk Master and much more. New artists will have a space waiting for them to get up and perform. For sponsorship information, call 201-946-6728.

Interested ones should make travel plans now, and plan to stay the weekend in Long Island. The event will feature Greeks from around the nation, stage performances and DJ's, vendors, stepshows, and fun had by all.

GreekFest began in 1984 by Black Greeks from C.W. Post (Long Island Univ), Cheney Univ (PA), Alphas from Old Westbury (SUNY) and Hostra, and Kappas from St. Johns joined by Greeks from Stony Brook, Adelphi, CUNY / SUNY school.

In 1998, as a production of National Greek Network, Inc., GreekFest.com has become "the premier online source for information about Black Greek-Life throughout the world."

VENDING/SPONSOR/PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES:

Food Vendor opportunities are available for just $200 plus a $125 fee for a Nassau County Health Permit. Non-Food Vendor opportunities are available for just $150 total. 10x10 Sponsor / Business Booths are available for $750.

Artist Performance opportunities are available for $750. Each independent artist/group gets 7 minutes, from 11am till 1pm. Labels wanting blocks of 15 minutes should sign up now for $1250. Stage time is on a first-registered, first-served basis. Time is limited, and so is the space.
