Michael Jackson Case Updates

Staring out in the direction of the fountain, my eyes met with some of the most pretty eyes I had seen on a brotha. Violet. A pretty boy. Teakwood complexion, honey cornsilk waves, and a cleft chin. He had that Malcolm from the Young and the Restless vibe going on. I smiled. He smiled back.

"I know you ain't making goo-goo eyes at that sell-out!"

"Sell-out?" I asked, half paying attention to Sharmaye, my eye candy, tennis racket thrown over his shoulder, melting out of view between one of the science buildings and the freshman dorm.  [Go to first installment]

He Came

He came that we might know of his story

He died that we might know of faith

He rose that we might know of glory

He lives that we might know of grace

Cross Dressing
from the porch of my
suburban home I have watched

once distanced at sight ---
now strolling along the lines

of what defined and confines
white culture security

straddling the likes of

bedroom walls unfolding scrolls
that deem tupac and notorious b.i.g.

as the icons of the new
allegiance my children

have pledged to ---

right hand on heart /
off my sons and daughters go

AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMIC BOOK HELPS TO LIBERATE BLACK YOUTH FROM STREET VIOLENCE

In a world infested with crime, skepticism and injustices lurks a superhero known only to a privileged few. "TO HELL AND BACK THREE TIMES" - BLACK AUTHOR WRITES ABOUT HIS MULTIPLE ENCOUNTERS WITH CANCER. An Inspiration For African-Americans Just In Time For The Holiday Season

Forever I sought to find a place of rest from my weary travels in life and God said “Peace be still.” unto my soul.

It was a muffled cry no man could hear and no spirit could comprehend; like whispers slipping from my heart yet heard.

Wounds that money could not fill

Wounds that earthy measures could not heal and words that uttered, “Peace be still”

in moments rested on my breast.

It was then I knew I’d see the rain yet hope and believe again I’d see the sun

My job is live my life faithfully here until my Savior calls me home. And as he reaches out for me in sight of glory I will see

a place of restoration and songs like angel-singing chords I longed

And seeking him my destination I’ll find before I even reach the heights, a reason for the cloudy days and stormy nights; heaven in his eyes.

    No Man’s Slave

I'm a modern woman

I am no man’s slave

I have my own career

I get up in the morning

Clothe and feed my kids

Drop my husband off at work

And Go to work myself

I do my shopping lunchtime

Rush home after four

Forget to pick up the kids

Clean the house

Do the laundry

Cook supper

Bathe the kids

Clean the kitchen

Fall asleep in the bath

Then Finally goes  to bed

I Wake up the next morning

Repeat the whole thing

For sure,

I, am a modern woman.

I am no man’s slave

Behind the Badge

I can't imagine my life not being a paramedic

Never had I known life could be so traumatic

Living for the adrenalin rush I feel as I step up the pace

Someone's life hangs in the balance and I am up for the racE

Diligently fulfilling my duties as I begin to assess

Knowing my the training  will be their success

I feel greatly honored to be trusted so much

Having been given my role I am deeply touched

I may never get to know the people I save

Nor the experiences some will take to their grave

Being a paramedic we learn not to judge

Our intentions come strictly from behind the badge

i think that all this is bull look at the facts you and me both know that r.kelly did allot of things that he's being charged with. One thing we also know that the girls that were involved in this they were fully aware of what's going on and probably only thinking of money . One question that i got is if these girls are really the age that is being said where the parents to these girls . the parents should be charged the same that r.kelly is because there just as responsible this is ridculous ..
