Beloved Award-Winning Duo, Bebe & Cece Winans, Kicks Off Reunion With American Idol Performance

Los Angeles, CA (BlackNews.com 5/24/07) - After more than 13 years apart and successful solo careers, look for inspirational gospel superstars BEBE & CECE WINANS to come together again for a much-anticipated reunion with a new album and tour in the works. The multi-award winning platinum-selling duo, officially, kicked off their reunion with an appearance on American Idol's sixth season finale. The brother & sister duo showed their support for AI's super-talented and vocally gifted, Melinda Doolittle. The trio gave a powerful performance of Percy Bady's smash hit written for BeBe & CeCe back in the early 90's. The song was, initially, recorded with pop princess, Whitney Houston appearing on the Heaven CD. The duo's performance marks the first gospel artist to perform on American Idol.

The illustrious career of BEBE & CECE WINANS--two of the ten children of gospel music's most renowned musical families--began their career in 1987, going on to become one of the most commercially successful gospel artist in the business.
